Following upon its monetary involvement using the Petit Trianon restoration in Versailles, the renowned Swiss watchmaking home of Breguet will contribute towards the well-being of an additional cultural icon -the Louvre Museum in Paris. The globe renowned museum, which numbers in its unparalleled collection a staggering range of 18th century art objects, is set to undergo some essential modifications over a three-year period. The modifications are intended to provide an improved presentation of particular exhibits towards the public whilst preserving Louvre’s architectural sanctity and its crucial security measures.
Modifications will likely be carried out within the Sully wing, a section of the Louvre which comprises the Council of State room and also the salon Beauvais. The extraordinary quantity of artifacts on display within the Sully wing cover the period of history from the final period of Louis XIV towards the French Revolution, and consist of decorative bronzes, wall coverings and carpets, scientific instruments and porcelain works and creations of the jeweler.
